look what i just found in my hasta plant while weeding the back yard ... i'd heard a noise there a couple days ago, so i think they're perminant residents. i could see four babies. looks like two orange ones and two black and white ones.
do you have a local no-kill shelter that could find homes for the kittens? And would you have the ability to trap spay and release the mom? I hope everything turns out well for the little family.
Poor little guys.
You should leave some food out for the mom.
mom had been eating 1ear's food for a couple of weeks and i kept yelling at her "hey! find your own person!" -- i feel terrible now that i realize she was eating for five. but anyway, i left some food right in front of her little hide in that hasta this morning.
i'm sure you want to drive 3000 miles back to l.a. with a kitten in your car. it would be a bonding experience. pick one now, before they're all gone.
Awwww, kittens. Hope you can find them a home.
Awww babies! They look so little. At least it's not cold out. Maybe city kitties could help find them homes? I'll help if I can in any way.
well, one thing you definately could do is donate to City Kitties
. Regardless of whether or not they can help this particular little girl and her babies, they're really the only people around here doing anything to help. I think too that people are going to start leaning on them ("Hey! i have some kittens! i'd like to drop them off! what's your address?") now that they're here and them having some money in the bank would definately help them continue the work they're doing.
thanks for your kind thoughts.
I don't have much but I will do what I can :)
It's like you are running a halfway house for wayward kitties!
They picked a good spot- I know you folks will do right by them.
Still, so sad (yet so cute!)
oh, no- more kitties!
We've adopted two more stray pups ourselves. Such suckers!!
Tortoiseshell, no less. Those are some classy kitties. Sweet mama.
