You should visit it more. We like guests.
and you are conveniently located near Page and Monument Valley n'est pas?
South and East - Petrified Forest and Painted Desert.
But road trips rule, especially with a good guide.
ah. so very far from page. phoenix and east then? lovely! do you have room for ego likeness? sounds like a comic book making plan....
Damn, I have a scheduled site launch at 2 tomorrow or I'd cut out and meet you.
Seriously Kyle. Let's go. I'll drive. You take pictures. Steve will tell us fun facts about things and draw pictures and not get us lost.
I'm actually a little serious.
I could go on tour with Ego Likeness?!!!? Wait. How would we split the groupies? Cause this could be a deal breaker.
You almost have to cut them in half clean across the middle, because dissecting them vertically is really difficult, mostly because of the sternum.
LMAO!!!! I really needed the laugh.
Thank you.
the desert is amazing you are, too
ooh, thank you, that's so nice of you to say.
My aunt bought me tickets to visit her in Reno as a graduation gift; I was there for two weeks, not counting the one-week road trip to Seattle and back.
Sometimes I miss that sky.
Either the desert suits you, or it doesn't. Two of my kids, raised in Ohio, and transplanted here as older teens/early twenties, have returned to Ohio. They prefer it green. Me? I grew up in the rainforest, but I love the desert.
Yes, we have room. We currently live on the west side of Phoenix and can access any area in a few hours. My Scion XB seats 5 very comfortably and is reasonable on gas. Road trips can happen. Roswell is welcome, though the pecking order amongst the 4 legged critters will certainly be difficult for him to handle *grin*
I've never been to the desert - this photo makes me want to go!
you should come visit me at work! i'm about 6 blocks from penn at trapeze school ny. w 30th btwn 10th and 11th. i dont get in until 4 though.
nooooo i don't get to nyc until thursday (thank you time zones and red eyes) i enjoy watching real photographers work.
:(
I love the desert..( Arizona native here)... but man the summers are deadly...I personally can't wait to move to someplace green.
Beautiful shot!
I miss the California Desert so much. I heart driving up the 395, even if it is one of the most dangerous highways in the country.
I agree with coppervale Come out and visit us (us = arizona) again. Between the petroglyphs, the red rocks and the wobbly cactus how can one go wrong?
