Re: You are so freakin awesome, Kyle.
I'm going to email you some other photos of Chip's books -- don't want to leak everything to the world so I've been holding back on the good stuff -- but you'll appreciate it.
Wow, that Delany photo is rather awe-inspiring. That shelf blows me away too!
He was just super cool. And not just his bibliophilic decorating style!
Are we allowed to submit the stories we'd already written on your earlier entry? After maybe tidying up some of the writing that was done in a rush over lunchbreak? :-)

i am loving these pics of my favorite authors!
as am i! it's a swell trip to be taking.
Does this mean that the werewolf will make an appearance? That costume was facemeltingly warm. I'd hate to think all that sweat was completely wasted.
he's in the que. i'd heard he was in the que for a calendar too, but that was a while back and I haven't heard more about that.
If we take our own photos, do we have to make ourselves look like Amanda? I am very pro slathering myself in red gloop and zombie makeup, but less so on shaving my eyebrows. I like my eyebrows. And I'm not sure I'm willing to dye my hair, either. :-P
His beard is epic! He looks like he should be out sacking villages with Alan Moore.

Small children have mistaken Chip for Santa Claus.
that is a mighty beard of awesome!
Awesome! I was so envious of my friend who went to Clarion awhile back where he was a featured instructor. His office is kind of perfect, too. I love his creative use of those pretty awards.
i think his office is my favorite so far -- though it's so hard to choose.
I haven't read any Delaney yet, but this photo makes me a fan.

I too am boggled by the casual stack of Nebulas! And I love how in the photo they look like little jars with brains inside.
You don't even want to know where the Hugo was....
Well now that you've said that, I do...
I love that there is this opprotunity. I've been trying my hand at short stories lately (I usually write long fiction). On that note, I haven't told you I think the photography is positively amazing for this so far :D
there are some photos i'm just jumping up and down about -- and some of them didn't even make it in, so you'll see them on the contest page.
I'm actually trying my hand at all of photos that are up so far, maybe attacking more. I'm already very inspired and over the past little while after staring at all the pictures I think the first story is starting to form :)
May I ask whose idea it was to slip the graphic novel The Watchmen in there? Brilliant.
I thought all the photos up so far are beautiful, the one you have up there is one I'm trying to come up with something that does the photograph justice.
So, there's no actual deadline? I'm curious because in about a month or so I can have some professional photographs taken for free by someone who does an amazing job. I think he'll have a field day with this one.
if there is a deadlline, we'll post it -- but most likely not until the book actually ships.
as for the watchman -- i should actually devote a whole post to that. it's a very good story.
What a cool contest. Do we have to represent Amanda Palmer if we do photos, or can we just go crazy and do anything?
you can do whatever you want.
To submit a story or a photo, just email it to...
why didn't I see this sooner? AAAGGGHHH!!!!
believe me, it's all I'm going to be talking about for months now....
that's a great portrait! i've heard of him (at the sf cons), haven't read him yet. can i assume the other 'science fiction & fantasy authors in their creative spaces' pics are at your website?
i'm gonna go ahead and click the 'add you as a friend' button, mainly cos i'd like to keep abreast of your photography, and partly cos silveringridd
says good things about you.
