| | roswell snoring | ] | This week we'll be going over the entries in the write a story, win an autographed copy of Cherie Priest's Boneshaker novel contest. There are many awesome entries. I ought to put together a .pdf of all of them that people can download, print out, and read on the subway.
While no winner has yet been chosen, I wanted to point out the FREAKING AWESOME ILLUSTRATION OF STEAMPUNKROSWELL that mcmatz did:

sweet barking cheese. Friend this woman. Seriously. How could this awesome have escaped me for so long? I think there will have to be a special prize for this, it was so unexpectedly awesome.
(and if anybody else wants to do steampunk roswell illustrations, I will indeed put together a .pdf of all the stories for people to download and read on the train, and I'll give out other special prizes which will likely consist of a photographic print of something.)
rock on with your bad selves

That's fabulous! Both the illustration and the story. I love the imagery of "chatelaines of men" hanging from the rail of the airship. Wow.
Yes, it is awesome. You realise that all cats need for world domination are opposable thumbs? That's what makes this illustration particularly scary. Then again, we would probably be safe with Roswell because she's so damn lazy. ;o)
You realise that all cats need for world domination are opposable thumbs? And I'm supposed to sleep tonight with that thought in my head? Edit: Aaagh! It's already happened... Edited at 2009-12-14 08:47 pm (UTC)

If Roswell gets the gauntlets, please say that doesn't mean I have to get gauntlets for our dog for her self-defence. Weaponization like this makes Terminator seem quite tame.
Thank you for the gracious comments, guys! Having not written in a good while, I felt that if anyone was going to read my bit, they deserved a little eye candy. Mr Kyle, my awesome stays well hidden. I believe it was barely apparent when we met at the AFP concert last month.
That is a really lovely piece of work, writing and illustration both. There's something so unbearably poignant in the juxtaposition of those powerful-looking hands and Roswell's almost wistful countenance.
beautifully written and illustrated! :) a little eye candy is an understatement.
BAD. ASS.
Anyway, I get off around 7. Can I swing by and get my sawzall if it's there?
I feel like such a moron because I absolutely meant to contribute something but then the weekend happend and way too soon it was Sunday night and I realized I had missed a terrific opportunity. *grump*
there will be a next time!
I missed this one too! Work stuff happened and then it was Saturday and there was life stuff and then... yeah... next time indeed!
that's like the perfect likeness of roswell! what a great illustration!
That is FABULOUS!! And yes I did add her! | |
