| | Motorhead: We are Motorhead | ] | I've spent the last two and a half days in Virgina doing a photo workshop at Quicksilver Palace. Things went swimmingly well, fabulous students, wonderful food, exciting project ideas, great times. Plus four cats.
Leonore's photo of Liz from this morning is a really good summation of what we've been working on. It's one of my favorite shots. Leonore did the whole thing with a very modest softbox and a pair of napkins:

Lee's photo of me looking heroic:

Cecily's project is to photograph heroic mothers. She practiced heroic lighting on Liz here:

I like the heroic mothers idea. :) Would love to see the collection.
Thanks for sharing the pictures from the weekend.

P.S. Nice boots!
All those wonderful images -- very inspiring!
Can't thank you enough for all the tips and knowledge and everything. And the little pushes to get outside our comfort zones. I couldn't stop thinking all the way home.
I know! I can't wait to get the right equipment and then start the Heroic Mom/Women project!
Oh, and Kyle, it would appear you don't have me friended on LJ! I am le sad. ;)

Great set. The yellowjacket shot was amazing. Beautiful portraits that made me feel like I know the people that are pictured. And the black and white of the tires and the fence is just lovely.
Well done, to all involved!
It looks like a great workshop! Are you planning any others in the Virginia/Maryland/D.C. area? If so, how would one sign up? | |
