Ooooh. When does this start? When's the deadline for letting you know we want to do it?
I have an idea for a really cool space, but I have to check with the people who own said really cool space first.
It starts when I mail the pix off to the first person. From there it just goes on. No deadline. It will become it's own living thing and the master (or mistress) of it's own fate.
Brilliant! I'm going to look and see what I can do about bringing it to Denver, then.
*jumps up and down like a monkey on crack*
ME!!! I'm totally in!

Hey! I'm in LA, too. I just sent a friend of mine here this link to see if she has any good location ideas since I'm rather new to town. I'll send you an e-mail so we can connect and if you are open to some additional local support, I'm here.
That would be AWESOME! I am absolutely open to support. The more the merrier!

Kyle Cassidy getting inventive again
I love this idea.
I live in a 5 story loft in an old distillery in South Boston, with tons of space. We also have started having events in our space. (Mali Sastri's latest Cloud Club ORG was held in our space last week)
I am not sure how much traffic the photos would get as its not a conventional gallery space..but if the show was up when we had some events booked it'd be swell. We also have a trap door underneath our main floor with a ladder and a white wall space....
dont know how conventional you want the sets ups to be, but if this is something you are interested in please let me know!
my email is email@example.com
I'd be interested. I have a community space sort of place outside of Olympia, WA. We could do an mini show out in my art studio. We're small, I usually get 30-50 folks at standard events..
I wish I had heard about this earlier... I just spent the weekend with the Reno Worldcon exhibits head (and a bunch of other people).
and I would be proud to show your work in Wellington, New Zealand. Contact me through LJ or with the same handle through gmail.
I'd like to come see it when you do. (It would no doubt be redundant to have two showings in Wellington, and you got in first.)

There's also t The NewDowse in Lower Hutt, and Expressions in Upper Hutt that may be suitable.
I'll take on talking to Expressions as that's my home village...
Anyone for The NewDowse?
I'd also be keen to see it in Wellington!
I'm in Chicago, and I am so down.
can you send me your contact email? addie.plum at gmail.com
What a great idea. I'm definitely interested. I'm in Norwich in the UK. :)

Host an Art Show, Make Some Art
I'd love to do this, but my space isn't all that conducive to a showing... anyone else here from Oulu, Finland who knows of a good place to show??

there is the 2 square meter gallery downstairs in the skate shop.
I am of course available to do in-person appearances during these shows, considering my prominent starring role in the work, but you'll have to discuss my appearance fee with my agent.
My agent is also my cat. She's not the best at the job, but I can pay her in kibble.
can she also be bribed with catnip??
i would definatly be into this, and I know a place for it too. Im in Cologne, Germany
Yes! Count me in...

hail from the land of Twin Peaks
Saw your answer above about deadline to start -- but wondering if there will be a deadline to end?
Not yet committing.
Will let you know soon.

Re: hail from the land of Twin Peaks
no end deadline. it can go on and on until there are a thousand photos in the show.
I don't have a cool space idea yet, but I can't resist wanting to be a part of it. I don't want to be the first host, but I'm in Menlo Park, California, and I think I can figure out something cool.

Also, I'm an admin over on Serious Compacts
, and this is definitely a serious compact kind of project, so I posted a thread over there

swank! thanks. (& on another note, they're not even SD cards -- they're "smart media" cards -- bigger and flatter. which now go used for as much as i paid for the camera.)
Oh, I remember those! I used to have a camera that used them ages ago.
How about Sydney, Australia? I've no idea where I can host this just yet, but I'm sure I can organise something.
What if people want to buy prints? I've an Epson 3800 that's great for this sort of thing.
Sweet; I shall see what I can arrange, then.
I'd like to partake in this! Sounds like a lot of fun and I've never hosted a gallery before. I've been wanting to do one for my own work so this might be the perfect thing to test the waters with. What do I need to do? I'm near Dallas Texas in a city called The Colony :)
Wanted to add, I put this idea before a group I'm apart of called the Dallas Makerspace. It's a shared workshop space where people can come work on projects and the like. We have a lot of photographers in our group and we would love to have the gallery set up at our space. :)
Brain 'splode, pkeeeww, pkeewww, pkeeewwwww everywhere.
We will be hosting the first one here in Philly, probably next week.
These responses make me want to travel everywhere the exhibit travels! Cologne, Germany!!!! Finland!!! The UK!!! New Zealand!!!
Just give us a bit of warning before you turn up in Sydney, and we'll have some semblance of a rock-star hotel set up for you and Kyle. We even have demanding cats, so you'll feel right at home.
I've love to be a part of Leaving Dakota! I put on a show at a bar every month, so I could totally put it up there! I'm north of Seattle, Whidbey Island. Freedomzoom@gmail.com
so down with this!
melissa daigle in new orleans, la wants a piece and to add a piece!
Would love to do a NY hosting. It will likely be in an apartment with fine people and cats.
potentially with some living statues around and in the place. and cocktail gear. we circus-y types like to have fun
That's a pretty stellar idea.
I would love to host this! I'm on the board of a small community theater, www.nbrep.org, and we are trying to add art to our stuff and shows. I'm in Farmington, CT. (The theater is in New Britain, CT). Ideally, we'd love to have it on the wall for one of our upcoming shows, so either Jan 7th-22, Feb 22-Mar 12, or April 8-23rd.
sweet! please shoot me a line at lena AT bangarts DOT com
I'm in Atlanta
Can you fit Bellingham Wa in the Washington dates?
