I think that a lot of the Occupy cities are taking in some of the homeless in the areas where they set up camp. I know that Occupy Atlanta is doing so.
I've also had the opportunity to spend some time with the folks here in Atlanta and it was time well spent. I attended a benefit concert they hosted last Friday, which was to preemptively raise bail money against future needs. Most of the performers were Occupiers themselves, with a few sympathetic artists coming down as well. The venue was donated their space for the evening, people brought food to share with everyone who came by... Good stuff, good times. |
