So, it's been a busy few days here at the blimp mooring station high atop Fortress Hennepin.
Saturday I was in New York City with Amanda Palmer doing photos for the new album -- they came out wonderfully and if you supported the kickstarter you got one of them in your email update last night. The others will come out soon. There was much twittering of the events, so if you go back through my stream you can find a sort of blow-by-blow.
That was a really long day with a Top Sekret Shoot tacked on at the end. Estrella-Mar, who assisted (and drove), got the brunt of a lot of that and ended up staying two nights here with us.
Sunday was a shoot for the two new upcoming Ego Likeness albums, the long awaited "East" and a full length I don't know if they've told anybody the name of yet, so I'll stay quiet.
I posted this photo from the shoot as soon as we were done and it, within 8 or 9 minutes, became my most "liked" photo on Facebook, which is pretty remarkable. I do like it.
Hope you're all swell today. Roller Derby Update sometime today on the Roller Derby Tumblr.

So very cool. I'm curious though about the masks. Beats Antique did something similar with their video for Revival
and their subsequent live shows, though their horse head is white and the other mask is that of an old man.
IIRC, Steven posted a request on his Facebook for a horsehead mask, and someone sent him one.

Hmm. I supported the most recent one and haven't gotten anything in email. So they may be backed up I think.

FORTRESS SAFETY PIN!!!!!!!!!
Other than the obvious awesomeness of the photo, I can't tell what I love more: your collection of vintage mixers, or the freaking delight that is the ancient gas stove.
what's more "american" than a kennmore stove from sears?!
One in a Sears modular pre-fab home? Or better yet -- a Lustron!
With "normal" people, this would have been a lovely picture. Your kitchen looks great - the woodwork is gleaming, the shelves are tidy. The lighting job really suits the space. It's the craziness of the subjects that takes the image beyond "lovely" into "hot damn, that's a fun shot." The unicorn head especially catches the light well.
I will admit there's a tiny hint of Ke$ha's "Blow" video, but only the tiniest (both have unicorn heads!). And that's not necessarily a bad thing.
I've been in your kitchen. I've even done a few dishes there. Next time, I count the dishes by pounding my hoof into the floor.

You have many mixers
You seem equipped to beat many batters.
