at the museum

whafford shows trillian a Sumerian tablet from about 1700 B.C. that he's been working on at the museum. Salt in the clay has caused part of the inscription to flake off in antiquity.

trillian and the sphinx.

whafford explains how a cyllinder seal works -- a person has their name or a saying inscribed on a stone cylinder with a hole drilled through the middle, the seal can then be rolled across wet clay to "sign" it.

whafford shows lawbabeak and trillian an economic text and the envelope it comes in -- both made out of clay.

after the museum we feasted at taco bell, cleaned the house, and watched Contact.
