Angels in America

Here it is -- Sunday's shoot for the Angels in America poster

It was a fast shoot as we didn't have the location for long. It started with an hour of makeup done by the wonderful Sarah Maccarelli, then off to the location (where I'd also photographed the Dresden Dolls years ago) -- I had the whole thing set up in my head beforehand so it was basically just screwing with the lights to get them to do what I'd had in my head. This one was lit mostly by the back-light (an sb-800) which hit the angel right between the wings and filled in the ceiling. The second light was an alien bees with a snoot aimed right at the angel's face. The whole shoot took about 40 minutes.
