I just found out that Isaac Asimov used to live within 10 blocks of my house. If we lived here at the same time I would SO have always been over there making a nuisance of myself.

I also found out that the deadline for requesting the state of Pennsylvania to put a historical marker somewhere was January 5th.

I started feeling worse and worse all day and by about 3:30 in the afternoon I had a sore throat so bad that I couldn't speak. The cosmos had hit my mute button. So trillian_stars made me a big pot of tea, and some wonderful soup and then it happened -- she reached into her little black bag and said "I have a present for you baby!" and what was it?? what could it be???

Oh yeah! Imagine the horror and frustration of being unable to utter the slightest "mewp" when all your body tells you to shout "O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!" and leap into the air. I mimed the greatest joy I could mime, then collapsed on the sofa and we watched the first Die Hard while eating wonderful tasty soup.

And I realized, laying there like a cadet with sun stroke, being sick as a dog but with trillian_stars is pretty much better than any day I could have imagined in my youth.
