its the OPERA
trillian_stars and I just got back from seeing Turandot at the Opera Company of Philadelphia. We saw the final dress rehearsal cause we're all famous and shiznit and didn't want to be bothered by all the paparazzi who will be there on Opening Night trying to snap our photos (that's my story, and I'm sticking to it). I have to say Sweet Barking Cheese! It was wonderful. This is what i expect from opera -- 20 foot dragons, torches, fire, swords, beheadings, a freaking cast of one hundred and twenty it was like a freaking Cecil B. Demille production.
It was beautiful. We kept saying "wow" to one another.
If you look carefully you can see our friend Phil here in the orchestra playing the trombone. Wave to him, he got us the tickets.
i'd post more, but it's like 1:30 in the morning.
it's playing a pathetic number of times.
