Leavin' on a jet plane

I'm sad to leave Wyoming after making so many friends here. This little corner of the world where we're staying has an amazing cast of characters. Friendly people, weird and exciting stories, and a breathtaking landscape (not to mention glorious storms), but tomorrow I'm packing up my camera bag and zooming off to Cody, then to Salt Lake City and then home where shadowcaptain and musikmaker21 are partying like madmen at my house, quilting with Roswell. trillian_stars is here another week.

You'll be happy to know that we tracked Eddie down and that he's awesome and cool and has played both cowboys AND indians in westerns and he gave me a beautiful edition of The Letters of a Woman Homesteader which is Elinore Pruitt's account of moving to Wyoming in 1906, the same time that Trill's great-grandparents started their adventure in homesteading. It was the perfect book at the perfect time.

Eddie's still 100% cowpoke, and he knows how to get around in style.

I'm going to miss this place. Now I want to come back and do "100 Cowboy Portraits".
