:( Poor kitty. She's so cute.
I love black and white kitties. I wish I lived closer... and was more stable so that I could snatch her up ... I'd love to have another tripod kitty.
hey! one each! line forms to the left! move along! we're running very low on tripods. stop hoarding!
Oh god she's adorable. In my dreams last night I was saving stray kitties and taking them into my home to create a Cat Army. Alas it can't be true.
well, she is a captian. so maybe it wasn't a dream.
Oh my goodess, such a cute kitty! :D Poor thing... she looks like an alert and happy kitty otherwise. I hope she finds a real nice home after she's all fixed up.
she is alert and happy. she kept RUNNING to me dragging the floppy leg, i wanted to burst into tears and hug her at the same time.
goodness i would take her in a second!
beautiful little girl!
yeah, i offered them a huge fat wad of cash for her the second i met her and they just laughed. they LAUGHED at my offer!
there's gonna be a fist fight to settle who gets this one, i'm sure. or maybe a steel cage match.
Poor sweet little thing :-( I've sent some money, will try to send more next week if I actually *make* a little money this coming weekend...
I can't help but find it so very disturbing that Phillie has such a horrible feral cat problem.
that's why you should sent $$$ to City Kitties
so they can stop it. An aggressive neuter and release program is what we need more than anything.
it's so special that you help them.
i gave a donation. the stories are so sad, though.
it's only the beginnings of the stories that are sad. the endings are often changeable.
I sent a hundred. All I can do right now. Mind if I pass this info around with your photos?
you are a goddess among women!
please! by all means, repost this on every phone pole in los angeles.
agnes needs a wooden leg!
please. add away. the more the merrier.
I love to take her home! Just a shame about the big pond in the way (that and customs and such!).
"oh, hullo. i see you have a cat too."
"this isn't a cat it's from the goddamn Colonies what you have is a cat. this is an imported domestic american three leg. now, if you don't mind, we're going to have some marmite and toast."
Aww(Arrr?), Cap'n Agnes! Thanks for those photos - I was so glad when CityKitties sent me them in the e-mail update! BTW, she looks a lot like Roswell - is there a whiskery tuxedo tom making the rounds?
Seeing her leg... it almost make me cry. :( And still she looks so sweet and happy! What a trooper she is.
you have to meet her. she's incredible. and, if you see her running dragging this leg, you WILL cry. but it's not the bad sort of cry, because this is going to be a good story. she's so goddamn cute. i love her. she is so sweet and happy -- as long as someone's loving her, she's so very happy.
oh my gosh. that poor little kitten, aw. why do they have to amputate it, couldn't the vet do something? i don't know what, just the thought of the poor kitten having her leg amputated tears at me. oh the little one.
oh and hi. sorry for the completely random comment, i got here through fireflesh
hello the_autum! welcome. i wondered exactly the same things. after talking to citykitties and the vet who's going to do the surgery (who is awesome by the way) the way i understand her leg is this:
1) it is forever dead, it will never heal.
2) cats don't care about cosmetics so no one will shun her for having three legs.
3) her paw is infected now from her dragging it (the skin scraped off)
4) she will be able to better move and balance and avoid obsticals without it.
so they made the decision to cut it off at the shoulder. everyone has assured me that after an unavoidably painful recovery, she will grow up to be as near completely normal as you can possibly imagine and she'll do just fine with three legs. especially because she'll have three legs and love -- and in some ways, when you think of it, if she didn't have that limp and that horrible wound, someone might not have picked her up and her lot in life might have been to grow up feral, eating out of trash cans and dead in two years after having three litters of kittens.
"oh the little one" is right. i love that little bug.
there is a bright side to this all. thanks for the random comment and the genuine concern.
She`s amazing. what a trooper. and so pretty.
I can`t do much for her, but I`ll continue (with my family) rescuing lost kittens of Slovakia (so far, 5 kittens to our credit).
i truely believe that when you do something good, wherever you are, that makes the "good" of the world that much better and changes things everywhere. be nice to the old lady at the end of the hall, help the kitten find a home, give someone your old clothes. it's all good. thanks for helping the kitties.
Oh goodness. We're moving into a bigger place and we're on the market to adopt a kitty (through citty kitties of course). She may be the winner.
