this is nelson:
here's the story from City Kitties:
Nelson was brought to City Kitties with a leg injury. We treated an abcess and thought that would solve the problem, but further tests revealed that Nelson had an aggressive bone cancer in his shoulder joint. We had no choice but to amputate his right foreleg to save his life. Thankfully, the type of cancer Nelson had generally does not return once it has been removed, and he is expected to make a full recovery. However, the vet bill was over $1,000, and City Kitties desperately needs donations to help pay for the surgery. Please consider making a donation in any amount.
Nelson will be available for adoption once he has healed. He's a shy guy, but warms up quickly and has become a favorite at the vet office where he is staying. He would do well in a quiet home where he can get the love and attention he deserves. Nelson did not have a great start in life, so he needs someone who can spoil him! Nelson is neutered, up to date on shots, FIV/FeLV negative, and flea-free. Adoption application and $75 adoption fee are required.
