so, while i was fishing out the duct tape to fix my camera last night, roswell jumped into the junk drawer in the kitchen.

she dug around in there for half an hour, trying to burrow way into the back.

finally i realized what she was doing. one of her toy mice was in there.

Roz has quite the memory for where Daddy was nasty enough to put her toys. Shame on you, putting it somewhere she couldn't get! ;)

Is that a Hello Kitty something-or-other you have in your junk drawer? Do tell.

Also, do you know of some (easy, stupid-proof) way to photograph an all black cat with bright green eyes that will both allow the cat to show up and not make the eyes look satanic and glowing, much like this:

Obviously I don't know what I am doing. And Spock is cute but I can't seem to bring this to anyone's attention because I suck at taking pictures.

direct flash is not your friend.

try getting spock to sit near a window during the day time -- manual exposure will help you too if you have it, because his coloring will throw off your camera's auto exposure meter.

good luck. hi spock! live long and prosper.

Photo two: Just give me a minute, I know it's in here. Pst, pst, come on little mousy. Where are you?

Photo three: I knew it was in here. Yippeee! Thanks Dad! Hey Bing, guess what I have?

Meowp!

Our guys *love* those furry mice! Every year, I buy a box of 48, put some fresh catnip in it, and let it marinate for a couple weeks before Christmas. Come the big day, I put the box on the floor and let them have at it. They spend the next 3 hours flailing, racing through the house with puffy tails, or lounging around licking their mouse-of-choice.

I wonder what Rosewell and Co. would do with that many meeces?

So cute. :)

I don't know if I've ever introduced myself, but I'm Martine, I'm 23 years old and from the Netherlands, and I friended you because I love your photographs. I took a photography class a while ago, and my teacher showed us your book; it was a very nice surprise to see you on LJ!

Hope you don't mind that I friended you. :)

isn't she all inventive?

on a completely seperate note, I still have the copy of the german vanity fair edition with your article in it. Would you still be interested in having this sent to you in some way shape or form? It is now an official international traveler and spent a nice 10 hours on a plane in my luggage from berlin to philly.
