When I first arrived, Amanda's assistant, Beth, said "I'm a big fan of momcat!" which was awesome and weird -- How does she know about momcat? I think -- I think of this all as so small and so private and It's strange but very cool when people recognize me on the street. We were in a restaurant saturday night after Trillians play and on the way out, the women sitting behind us said to her "You're more beautiful than in your pictures!" and said to me "you should post more Roswell pictures." And a flight attendant recognized me last month on an airplane. Awesome.
Anyhoo, after the photo shoot, a German film crew showed up (from the same TV show I was on last month!) to film Brian and Amanda playing three songs in her attic. They invited about 20 friends, there were a couple people I knew, but lots of people I'd heard about. I was sitting in a chair next to a small wood burning stove, under a big skylight, talking to some people I didn't know and suddenly got emotionally overwhelmed at just how wonderful things are.
Today, I recommend everybody try and be someone who does, not just someone who is. It's a good day for it.
