This weekend trillian_stars and I went to cape may with Ryan and Barbara. Ryan's also a photographers who specializes in nature photos, so he's always getting up at 4:14 am to drive to some shoreline somewhere because the ruby throated warbler is in migration or whatnot. We went down to the southernmost point of New Jersey at 6:00 a.m. this time for no good reason other than to splash our feet in the Atlantic Ocean, which we did. We also spent a lot of time watching the dolphins tearing up schools of fish just off shore. Also down there is a strange WWII gun emplacement and the remains of a concrete ship that made it about 100 yards off shore before ... as you might expect ... sinking.
We also saw the most awesome play on Friday -- but it deserves its own post.
