spiders and cacti

Flight went well, there was an Elvis impersonator on the plane with sideburns birds could nest in. It made more sense when I found out the plane was continuing along to Vegas. My friend Russ and I went out photographing saguaro cacti in the middle of the night, some of the shots came out well. When we got back to his house he said, in the course of conversation, "oh, there are black widow spiders everywhere" and I challenged him to show me. So we went out in the yard with a flashlight and THEY ARE EVERYWERE. We found one every 20 feet, sitting patiently. So I dragged the studio lights out and we photographed spiders until 2:30 in the morning. Eat your heart out Haley Os. I was suprised at how FAST they are. They're fast. And they're everywhere. I posted some photos to www.twitter.com/kylecassidy.

On the plane some people were talking about the difficulties of scorpion infestation in houses here. Its a strange and wonderful place.
