Eddie's a real cowboy and an actor who's played both cowboys and Indians in his film career. He was on the cover of my Wyoming travel diary two years ago. He was appropriately grizzled when we ran into him this time. His store's moved across town and someone stole his lime green bicycle but he's still a fixture of Greybull and if you drive through on your way to Devil's Tower or Yellowstone, or Wilford Brimley's rodeo on the edge of town, Stop at the Historic Hotel Greybull, say hello to Myles and I'm sure he'll be able to tell you where to find Eddie, who certainly doesn't mind having his photo taken, being an actor and all.

I want to say I think I've met him -- but not during my years in Wyoming, but way before that when I first fell in love with the land of misfits that is Wyoming, and when I did a cross-country trip from Detroit to LA. I spent three days in Wyoming driving around, because for a kid from the inner city of Detroit -- Wyoming was like another planet to me. I wanted to explore every inch. I went into a place outside of Devil's Tower and met a man who looked like a younger version of Eddie up there. He taught me all about the difference between bourbon and whiskey. I wonder if it was him.
