Photography at Occupy Wall Street went really well this weekend. I'm hoping the images will be published soon. In the meantime, here's a photo of Chelsea Elliot, one of the women pepper sprayed by an NYPD officer after she'd been herded into a pen -- all for reasons no one's been able to articulate. Seeing the video was the single incident that made me realize I had to go to New York.
The park itself was a buzzing hive that's managed to exist and develop a library, a media center, a notary public and a full time sanitation force of 50 people -- the amorphous collective has managed to feed itself and survive for a month now despite having zero bathrooms, which is all very impressive.
