This just in ... City Kitties reports that Clark Kent made it through the night. This is a big deal.
City Kitties has a long update about him here in which they say, in part, Thank you for reminding us that for every cruel person who abandons or mistreats an animal, there are hundreds of amazing and compassionate people out there willing to help.
I thank you too.
You can still help Clark & other cats out here.

Rough Night For Kitteh [x-posted my LJ and 'cat_macros']
Reposted - Glad to see he's improving.
Thank you so much for the update, Kyle. I'm so very glad Clark made it through the night.
I do not get it. I just do not. Last month I went 2 days eating pasta with butter because that was what was in the house after a $300 emergency vet bill wiped me out. The idea that once you have taken on an animal as your responsibility you could treat it like that is completely foreign to me.
When I first read this half an hour ago, I had to walk away from the computer and find my younger cat, a rescue, and hug her. She seemed confused by what brought it on but went with it.
Thanks for saving the one you did.
Yes, this story inspired squeezings of my own rescues.
I'll be making a donation at the local shelter tomorrow, inspired by Clark Kent. I've only ever had rescue kitties, and I'd take Clark Kent! I have a soft spot for the mustard kind
