Readercon is July 12-15 in Burlington MA this year. I'm going and doing some super cool stuff (seriously, you need to be there for this shiznit). They just asked me if I wanted to host a kaffeklatch, which is basically where we sit around and eat donuts and someone spikes the punch and we talk about stuff. I held one at Worldcon a couple years ago and it was wonderful, but I'm not sure who's going ... so I ask you .....

Poll #1843922 Should I Host a Kaffeklatch at Readercon?

I'm not going but have gone to 2 Kaffeklatches at conventions and both were fun and interesting (Justina Robson and Neil Gaiman).

Not sure if I'll be able to go to ReaderCon but if I can, I'd definitely go.

yeah, ReaderCon's big for Odyssey since it happens when Odyssey is running and the new near-grads usually go for at least one day. Of course, I doubt I have time to get in on any panels since it's coming up pretty soon.

The purpose of them, IMO, is for people to be able to find you at a set time. Also free tea and coffee.

I would go to your Kaffeklatch! It would be nice to be able to finally say hi to you.... the last two cons you and I have been at were both such busy events that I never got to BREATHE, let alone say hi.

You should absolutely do another one, even though I'm inclined not to sign up so that other people would have a chance -- after all, I went to the one at Anticipation. :-)

I'm not going to Readercon, but I would totally go to a kaffeklatch in general.

Also, I'm kind of ecstatic that you used "Kinnearing". The Yarn Harlot's reach is longer than I ever knew!

Readercon

Can you reveal some more details about the cool stuff you'll be doing? The Readercon website seems light on the details. I'm only 40 minutes from Burlington, so I'm keen.
