In which Amanda Palmer blogs about some of our photo shoots.

This was in a thrift store that sells old movie and TV props in New York. There are lots of fake awards that say things like "Special Agent Joe Blow / FBI Award for Extreme Bravery / 9/11/2001" and whatnot, and googling them you find out it was for some made for tv movie or other, there's lots of stuff you've no idea WHERE it could have come from, old telephones, chairs, blankets, etc. These records all had the same (fake) person's name on them, some of them are what they call "hero" props -- they had an actual record spray painted gold glued onto a frame, and a bunch were just photos of a gold record. We just buried the band in them.

Wow! Love the location. I wonder how much it would cost to rent for a photo shoot?

Amanda listed the name and location of the place in her blog, you can call and ask about rental. They do it not infrequently.
